Ordering food shouldn't feel like a chore.
Food Bites came to us with a straightforward goal: build a delivery app people would actually enjoy using, not just tolerate. The market is full of cluttered apps with too many banners, too many taps to checkout, and order tracking that never quite matches reality.
We designed and built the full experience end to end — browsing, menus, cart, checkout, and live order tracking — as one connected flow rather than a set of disjointed screens, so the app feels fast even when the food isn't.
The Challenge
Too many taps between "hungry" and "ordered," unclear delivery timing, and a checkout flow that lost people right when they were ready to pay.
The Solution
A streamlined browse-to-checkout flow, one-tap reordering of favorites, and a live tracking screen that shows exactly where the rider is, in real time.
Research & Discovery
Audited the biggest delivery apps to find where users drop off, then mapped the ideal path from opening the app to placing an order.
UI/UX Design
Designed a warm, appetite-driving visual style in Figma, with large food photography, clear pricing, and a cart that's always one tap away.
Development
Built cross-platform with React Native and a Node.js backend, with live location updates for order tracking and secure card and wallet payments.
Launch & Iteration
Shipped to iOS and Android, then tuned the checkout flow and promo code placement based on where early users were actually converting.
